Jamie Lea Winbury

Jamie Winbury is a Navy Veteran, originally from central Arkansas. Her military service brought her to Norfolk, Virginia, where after serving for 5 years as an IT, she attended and graduated from Old Dominion University. While at ODU, Jamie interned for the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, counseling military service members on maintaining a budget, while also providing emergency financial assistance.

She returned to Arkansas to attend law school at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Over a summer, Jamie clerked for the Legal Aid Society of San Diego on the Income Maintenance Unit, working with indigenous and severely impoverished clients to help them obtain, keep, and appeal if needed, the benefits that helped provide for client’s daily necessities including SNAP, TANF, welfare, and general relief. After working in family law for a year and passing the Arkansas Bar Exam in 2017, Jamie decided to permanently relocate back to Virginia.

Jamie joined Boleman Law Firm as a bankruptcy attorney after passing the Virginia Bar Exam in 2018. She works primarily out of the Virginia Beach office with a focus on helping resolve issues that arise after our clients have filed for bankruptcy. Jamie enjoys being able to meet with and get to know our clients, to learn their story and help relieve them of their financial stress.

Jamie currently lives in Virginia Beach with her 3 children, 2 cats, dog, and guinea pig. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, playing sports, and doing pretty much anything outdoors. She is also a strong advocate for veterans and veterans in crisis, with plans to work with many organizations in the near future.
