BEWARE DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER

This law firm is a joke. They take your money and then pass you off to a legal aid instead of the lawyer that you think you will be dealing with. The legal aid (David Covington) is not able to answer ANY questions about bankruptcy even though he is the one legally filing it. He told me the wrong thin...gs to say in court AND filed it wrong, then had to amend it. Now debtors still calling and they refuse to do ANYTHING, even respond to my calls. Your lawyer is supposed to take them to court for this and they could owe YOU a fine. I asked David Covington what we were meeting about since we had met 3 times prior and he responds to me in the rudest tone EVER, "So do you want to sign the papers or not?" then Rodney Jefferson stated that I had an attitude every time I came to their office. How can he make up an opinion about me when that was his first time ever meeting me? And the whole time David Covington kept telling me I was their best client and so nice of a person. They are truly con artists and just out to take your money and give you the absolute minimal assistance. I had a debtor that I was not aware of and didn't know until after the bankruptcy was filed, before my court hearing. David Covington told me the price he would charge to amend it $250.00 but since he understood my situation would talk to Rodney Jefferson about lowering the price. Well he never spoke with Rodney Jefferson about it and denied ever saying so and then REFUSED to do the amendment even though I said I would pay for it. He prolonged helping me with that situation and then when my discharge finally hit refused to answer my calls, hung up on me during calls, and mailed me a letter stating their business is done with me. And a lawyer is supposed to STILL assist you if the creditors are still harassing you. They will not do so. They knew my car situation and I had to surrender my car. They were not able to answer ANY questions regarding the procedures. I had to reach out to other people's lawyers for answers and then let MY lawyers know what is legally correct. Being as though I surrendered my car and that was my only transportation, the amendment really messed me up as I had to wait even longer for the discharge. Richmond Ford worked out a deal and was willing to still work with me. All they needed was a written statement from my laywer that everything had been discharged. When I called David Covington I explained the situation and he told me that it would be another week before he could fax them the documentation. When I explained that they needed the information that day, he SNAPPED and said "You don't call me demanding that I do something right now. You cant expect something like that. I'm in court right now and wont be back in the office for the next week." My response was "I wasn't demanding anything. I'm only calling because..." he cut me off mid-sentence and said "You are so rude. I will NOT continue this conversation." and hung up in my face. My mother and I drove out to their office and what do you know...there was David Covington in the office, not in court as he said he was. For the debtor that was "to late to add to bankruptcy," David Covington communicated to them via email and "resolved" the situation for me. Well I'm still being charged so apparently nothing was resolved and I have requested 5 times total from both Rodney and David, that they provide me with the email as I have an investigation going on with my bank. It has been since May 17th I have been requesting this and it is now July 17th and still no email, no help, no nothing. Please do NOT go to this law firm. Go ANYWHERE else but here!
