Biography

Originally from New Jersey, Ms. Messer graduated from American University before earning her law degree from William & Mary Law School.
After graduating from law school, Ms. Messer completed a one-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable David Bernhard of the Fairfax County Circuit Court. Family law cases made up a majority of the court’s docket, and through her clerkship Ms. Messer gained valuable insight into the judicial decision-making process. After completing her clerkship, Ms. Messer practiced exclusively family law at a law firm in Northern Virginia.
Ms. Messer is an active member of several local and state bar associations.
