What can I say? I had a very unorthodox custody case on my hands; one that I knew was never going to be black and white let alone easy. In other words, we were in for a fight. John never once made me feel like I would have to buckle on what we both knew was right for my children. He used every sing...le piece of information and evidence I had and put it to use. He remained calm under pressure which it turn made it easy for me to do the same. He was always honest, responsive, and just as determined as I was. This was more than a “win” for me, this was vindication and preservation of my children. The only word I have is gratitude. You’re not gonna find a law firm in the greater Richmond area with more competent attorneys or overall staff. Even my co-counsel was amazing. John was empathetic, goal driven, and abundantly knowledgeable for the case he had at hand. We hired Mr. Karanian for a very difficult visitation case. This case involved my deceased sister's young child and the father who took this precious child away from us for over 2 years. In order to get grandparent visitation in Virginia, the grandparents would have to prove that the child would suff...er actual harm without this visitation. This is a VERY hard standard to meet, so it is nearly impossible for grandparents to get visitation if the parents don't allow it to happen. In our case, the father was the issue preventing my niece from seeing her mother's side of the family...including her grandmother. Mr. Karanian diligently worked hard on our case along with a private detective and a well known doctor. All individuals were amazing and worked so hard to make the impossible possible. We are so grateful to Mr. Karanian , his office staff and his team of professionals. We were always kept informed (and this is rare for most attorney's).
