William Henry Hurd

I retained Mr. Hurd to get a distribution of partnership assets that had been sold by the court, without my having to release claims against the attorneys who devalued the property. Mr. Hurd did not object to the opposing counsel maligning me during a hearing, calling me "litigious" when I have neve...r been a plaintiff. The court relied on the uncontested allegations that I was litigious to order me to sign a waiver releasing my constitutional right to due process of the law to seek disclosure and equal benefit, before releasing a small portion of the funds. I received nothing and had to appeal pro se because Mr. Hurd would not do anything else for me without more money. He then made a charging lien against my percentage of the funds retained. This was illegal because he was retained after the property sold and had nothing to do with obtaining those funds. He charged me $81,000.
