Ms. Pedersen assisted me with a criminal charge approximately 4 years ago. She communicated clearly to me the process in which I would have to go to court and follow up with demands of the court regarding my charge. Completely awful experience from start to finish. She was hard to get ahold of, and when I would speak to her office two of the staff members were nice, but the receptionist was awful. When it came time to go into settlement talks she just wouldn't stop telling me what to do and never gave me time t...o decide. I had to make a decision immediately. She also told the terms to the other side without asking what I thought it was horrible!! I would absolutely NOT recommend her as an attorney.

I was referred to Ms. Pederson by another attorney who could not handle my case due to a conflict. Her services were needed to manage a fairly straight forward case of family law. I was very disappointed by her lack of contact in the days, weeks and months leading up to the hearing, a significant del...ay in the hearing that was necessitated by a scheduling error on her end (she double booked) and overall lack of preparedness when it came time to have the case heard. I had assembled all of the information that had been requested; and yet on the way to the courthouse, it became clear that she did not have the materials I had sent with her. I scrambled to find a printer, etc. in the hour leading up to the hearing but even with them in hand, there was no time for her to review them. During the hearing, it became clear that she was not familiar with the specific terms in my decree and therefore, the legal advice she had given me leading up to the case was not applicable. In the face of that, she was cavalier and rejected all accountability. I have dealt with many attorneys professionally and have 2 close friends who are attorneys. Her conduct is by far the most unprofessional I have witnessed - and even the way she speaks to and about her staff leaves one feeling uncomfortable. It is my understanding that she is relatively new to the profession, and I encourage all who would consider engaging her for something as critical as family law, to look elsewhere. I later retained a very experienced and highly recommended attorney, who achieved the outcome I had originally sought. I hesitated to take my comments to the internet, but have been encouraged by family friends as well as a District Attorney friend to share my story so that others might benefit.
