William Wesley Helsley

I had met with him to review details of a ticket I had got. I had brought my father with me since I have not dealt with something like this previously, and felt he could help provide his own insight. I had a fine first impression of William. He started off asking about the traffic stop specifically a...nd the details surrounding that. He began to ask questions about my schooling (The highschool I graduated from and what I chose after.) I explained my decision to drop out from college "early on" since I personally felt it was not the right fit for me. He followed this answer by questioning how I could make a decision only being there for "a few days". I had not yet explained how long I attended my college, and it was not clear to me the implications of these questions in regards to my ticket. I asked him what the relevance of the question was to my ticket. My intention was not to be rude, but plainly to understand the connection between my decision to not continue with college to the case. Mr. Helsley's response to this was to tell me and my father to find a new lawyer to help with this case, and to kick us out. My dad was trying to apologize to him, and I tried to explain to Mr. Helsley that I was not trying to be rude, but that I did not understand the connection between the question and the case I was presenting him. He made a statement saying that I should show more respect to someone trying to help as he held the door for me and my dad.

Our vehicle was involved in an accident where our employee was injured. It was a difficult case as the accident occurred out-of-state, and the driver at fault was driving a U.S. Government vehicle. Mr. Helsley did an outstanding job representing us. The settlement check we received compensated us ...well for injury and damages. Because of the outstanding representation we received, I have referred two individuals to Mr. Helsley. One was for the death of a handicapped child due to medical negligence. Another was a boyfriend-girlfriend domestic matter involving assault charges. Mr. Helsley was successful in both matters. My two friends were very satisfied with Mr. Helsley's representation as well.
