Mary Margaret Thacker

After completing a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Circuit Court Judges of Rockingham County, Mary Margaret began her law practice as an Associate Attorney at BotkinRose PLC before transitioning to Sharp Litigation PLC, where she maintains a litigation practice in a variety of matters dealing with family formation and domestic disagreements, from adoptions to divorce, as well as trust and estate issues, contract disputes, and construction controversies. She is a zealous litigator and finds purpose in fighting for her clients in and out of the courtroom while prioritizing empathy in an effort to provide trauma-informed representation.

Mary Margaret is a graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law, where she earned a concentration in Family Law, and she is admitted to practice in Virginia. She is a member of the Order of Barristers, which is an honor given to those graduating law school who have exhibited excellence and attained high honor through the art of courtroom advocacy. She was also awarded the Virginia State Bar Section on Criminal Law Award upon graduation from law school, which is given to the outstanding student in the field of Criminal Law and Procedure. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Modern Foreign Language with a concentration in Spanish from James Madison University.
