Kelly Collins Ashby

Kelly advised me that having another child with my wife was grounds for having child support modified. We filed it in court, had a date set, and then she decided she didnt want to represent me anymore. I believe she purposefully backed me into a corner, knowing I couldnt win. I actually had to spend ...thousands of dollars with another lawyer, and ended up with no change, and made several concessions to my ex-wife (who has a drug addict living with my children, but that's another story for another day). Kelly is biased against men, plain and simple. Do yourself a favor and RUN if you are male.

We hired Kelly as an adoption attorney last year. It turned out she actually had very little experience with private adoption. Our adoption counselor, Erin, was our saving grace, Erin would tell us what we needed to have Kelly do. Without Erin, we AND she would have been lost. Kelly failed to fi...le our last bit of paperwork on time and caused our final court date to be delayed by six weeks. We also found out after the fact that her fees were much higher than average. I feel that we were really taken. We paid a lot of money and had to pretty much do her job for her (or at least our counselor did.) I can't imagine what might of happened if we had relied solely on her knowledge and follow through. It is not easy to write such a bad review, because Kelly was actually very nice and friendly. I just wouldn't want anyone else to go through the stress we did.
