Professional, Knowledgeable , Friendly and worth the money

I cannot speak highly enough of James (Alfie) Butts, IV at Tidewater Trusts & Estates. Many years ago, after the passing of my parents, who did not have a Will, my siblings and I endured a long, expensive, and stressful probate process. Very pleased!

We are very pleased with our long time CPA's recommendation that we consult Mr. Butts for estate planning. He was very conversational and articulate in discussing various options available. I believe that he set a plan that is efficient and appropriate to our situation. Also, his staff was effective,... available, and friendly. Best in Irvington VA area

I am so glad we got Mr. Butts to handle our estate and trust. He is down to earth and doesn't try to impress. His assistant and he work very well together and always addressed our questions with understandable answers - not legal mumbo jumbo! We used another attorney years ago in the area but ...hard problems with their lenghy response times and arrogant attitudes. We would definitely recommend Mr. Butts for estate planning. He will simplify your desires for estate planning instead of trying to complicate your estate. In other words, he will not try to gouge you.
