Anthony R Coppola

Anthony is Principal Attorney at the Old Town Alexandria business law boutique The Coppola Firm. He is also extensively experienced in appellate litigation and serves as the Vice Chair for Appeals for the DC Bar’s Litigation Steering Committee.

He is heavily involved in philanthropic pursuits and was selected as a Director on GW Law School’s Alumni Board, he also serves on the Alexandria Jazz 4 Justice Committee.

Early in his legal career, Anthony discovered his aptitude for writing.  Right out of law school, he convinced Greenberg Traurig to contract out appellate briefs to him.  He built his legal writing skills drafting dozens of briefs.

He also developed his professional skills working at the prestigious consulting firm Legal Writing Pro, the D.C. Public Defender, and the U.S. Department of Labor Office of the Solicitor. 

Outside of law, Anthony has experience in the high tech industry working for PTC, a leader in engineering technology.  He collaborated with Governors and Lt. Governors across the country to promote technology use in American schools. 

He has published both magazine and academic articles in his own name and as a ghost writer.

 He was a member of the Aerospace Industries Association’s Workforce Working Group and an Associate Member of the Aerospace States Association. 

Anthony earned a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and a B.S. from The College of William and Mary.  He is admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
