Tara was hired for my child custody case. She sent me a draft of a motion, to which I provided edits, then she filed the wrong version of the motion and charged me for her time “editing”. She later contacted me from her personal phone, which I did not know was her personal number, so when I continued... to contact her on the number with questions because I couldn’t get a response to my emails she very rudely told me to never contact her on that number again, and withdrew from my case without even communicating with me less than 2 weeks from my court date. She has been publicly admonished by the Virginia Bar Association for other professional conduct in 2017. BE WARNED

Hired Ms Steinnetrd to represent me in a family matter in 2019.Did a very poor job of representation, was quick to take my money but left me in a poor position in front of the judge. Then she withdrew at the last minute stating i did not respond ?? Shes been reprimanded by the bar association. ...Do your homework !

The biggest mistake I could make hiring a lawyer was Tara. She cost me my child which I have not seen in over a year. As a mother the worst thing to have happen is to lose a child, especially when one's own kayaker hands them over to the opposing party. Tara told me she was Judge Smith's "Pet." Disgu...sting. She would not let me know updates of what was paid for without further payment. I came to her with limited funds and she took my case. Unfortunately she withheld pertinent information about my child without harassing me for more money. The amount kept going up without further work on my case. She was billing me for even asking to set up a payment plan. She billed like crazy. The woman absolutely destroyed my life and my son's. She should be disbarred. Currently Tara is under bar review. She tried to sue me for funds after I had filed for bankruptcy and kept coming after me, until my Bankruptcy attorney sued her and we won. She is the worst lawyer and I am convinced my trial was not only set up, with outcome predetermined, but that she illegally colluded with opposing counsel. I fired her in court and in writing, to which she refused and continued to email opposing counsel. She accused my Bankruptcy attorney of man-splaining and was very unprofessional. If you want to lose your case, your family, and all of your money then hire her, but be warned. There seems to be a system at play in Fairfax County of taking children away from parents as well taking children away from mothers. Others are afraid to speak out, but it needs to be exposed. I truly wish this woman is disciplined and never has children of her own, she is clueless as to the lives she has ruined. Horrible woman.

I was going through a divorce and needed some guidance. Tara steeped up to the plate making me feel comfortable and in control of my situation. Ms. Steinnerd seemed to understand what I was going through, and provided the legal counseling and support I needed. She absolutely worked with my and my ...family best interests in mind.
