A Professional and Friendly Experience
Alexander and his team are extremely professional and friendly, which gave us a lot of confidence going through the process of getting the permanent residency for my daughter. I have consulted with other offices before but did not feel at home going through this process with those offices—their focus...

Deportation proceedings.
I had a case dating back to 1996. I have gone through at least 5 different Lawyers. I thought they were all great until I acquired the services of Alex Miller. Coward & Greedy - Zero Stare
This lawyer charged me consulting fee, took my case, charged me for the case and just a week before my hearing told me that he cannot represent me because he thinks "we" don't have a strong case. He then did not return me my consultation fee and ignored my calls. He just wanted the money, did not r...
Dear Poster: I am not sure if I can adequately respond to this review since it has been posted anonymously, but I do not think this reflects an accurate portrait of any cases we have had. If you wish to contact our office directly to discuss further, please reach out and we can talk more about your concerns and how our firm handled your consultation. It is true that we charge for a consultation fee and - if we have the consultation - that fee is non-refundable. If after meeting with you, we have to decline to represent you, we do not offer a refund of that consultation fee. This is a standard practice as you are paying for my time and advice - not a guarantee of a result or that we will take your case. If you contacted our office to represent you on a very short timeline (a week or so before your immigration court hearing), it is possible that we were unable to undertake the representation based on the short timeline for your case. In US Immigration Court, documents and evidence are generally due 2 weeks prior to any Individual Hearing (called a witness and exhibit list). It is possible that we did not feel as though we could take on a case with such short notice due to the practical limitations that existed. Again, each case is unique, and we reserve the right to decline representation in cases where we feel the case either has no reasonable chance of success or due to time constraints that would prevent us from being able to competently assist you on short notice. If you succeeded on your case with another attorney, that is wonderful news, and I am glad you were able to complete your case on such short notice. However, deciding to decline representation is an important part of the attorney-client relationship and actually demonstrates that we put professionalism above making a quick dollar (by accepting any case that comes through our doors regardless of our time constraints or belief in success). I'm sorry you were left with such a bad experience, and I am sorry we declined to represent you, but I am happy to hear you succeeded in your case, and I wish you all the best.
