Many of the contested divorce cases that I handle include an alimony component. I have routinely represented both spouses in such cases both requesting and defending requests of alimony from the court.

I include this as a subsection largely because there are uncontested cases and cases where I draft settlement agreements that in the aggregate, comprise a subsection of my overall family law practice.

Charge to high for him to rely on legal advisors.

This Lawyer has no knowledge without his old company stuff. There were no advices on what to so on the my case, the only things he and his company were good at was to charge lots of money, bills that were not right, I have to keep checking all the things they were doing and charging me. They will ch...arge this way; Richard Gray review settlement agreement 2hr. $800, A week latter I talk to him he said he had no chance to see the settlement agreement and I was charged for it. This laywer charge lots of money but hires a legal assistance that does his job and I had to pay the legal assistance separate from lawyers, the legal assistance will charge reviewing and reviewing, when I ask to the legal assistance a questions they will not know the answer but they will talk to the lawyer and charge me for their conversation. (RG 2hr 800$, LA 2hr 300$ ) to discuss my questions. for the hight salary this laywer charge the product he delivers is lower. I notice that they will try to complicate your my case in order to make it longer, make you think you are in a big problem. They will only get your case if they know they can get lots of money from you.

We came into this case as second counsel. As as result of our efforts, this client obtained almost 5 years of alimony on 5 & 1/2 year marriage; 4 of which was without reservation of any kind, including if she got remarried. We litigated the validity of the parties' settlement agreement because the husband tried to disavow the agreement after he signed it; claiming he had been coerced and tricked into signing the settlement agreement. The now ex-husband specifically tried to disavow the alimony provision. We researched, prepared and filed a brief on the validity and enforcement of the settlement agreement and appeared in court to argue the validity of the agreement. This client prevailed on all matters including having her now ex-husband pay the majority of her attorney's fees and his paying her a cash settlement. The lack of appreciation for what we did for this client is astounding.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
