During the pandemic Blunt Assessment Lab terminated me and the entire staff, changed their name to Eastern Analytical Labs and hired replacement employees. They tried to say Blunt was bankrupt so they did this without wanting to pay the terminated employees their wages, leave, or severance. I contact...ed James Ray to see about an unlawful termination case. When Jim first heard the details, he was excited to take the case and spoke about an aggressive approach. We were definitely going to make them pay. Then after I signed the contract and he realized he knew Blunt’s attorney, his tone changed. He started believing everything Blunt told him and kept advising me to settle for pennies. At one point during negotiations, Blunt admitted to hiring new management and when I asked questions, Jim refused to answer them and downplayed the conversation. This continued for 6 months. Finally, I settled. Right after signing documents to settle, Blunt wrote a check and sent 1099 from Eastern Analytical account (proving I was right the whole time) and Jim made as much as I did off the case. I do not recommend this attorney for any serious claims. He will tell you what you want to hear but he’s only out for himself!
