Super bright, commercially-minded M&A attorney
Rob is a fantastic M&A and corporate attorney. Rob has provided exceptional advice on a number of issues for us. He has been a constant source of referrals and has helped our business grow significantly. He can reduce complex situations to the few key points that you really need to understand to make a decision, and doesn't waste time on legalese. Super responsive and very easy to work with. I've worked with some of the largest law firms (including Rob's former employer K&E) and he can deliver the same level of service at a reasonable cost structure. I've also reached out to Rob on legal issues outside of his areas of expertise, and he's the first person to recommend we look for more specialized counsel, which I really appreciated.

Outstanding and reasonably priced M&A representation
Rob served as our M&A attorney when we sold two of our software/SaaS companies. He came highly recommended from a trusted friend in the private equity industry. Rob is exceptionally knowledgeable, thorough and responsive. His brilliance shines once you see how he digests say a 200 page contract and points out every potential issue and offers ways to negotiate through them, ensuring the client is protected while also moving the deal forward. His extensive experience is also very reassuring - it helped to sooth nerves as we went through the [quite stressful] M&A process. I also like Rob's flat fee model - basically you pay a flat fee plus a success fee that only gets paid if the deal is executed. I never felt I was being nickeled and dimed, and there were no surprising fees. In sum, working with Rob was a pleasure and I highly recommend him.

Rob represented our management team in the review and negotiation of complex employment and equity agreements with a private investors. This is the second time I have been "at the table" with Rob. Excellent choice for management as well as representing private equity. He raised, prompted, dealt with and counseled management to resolve numerous interrelated legal and business issues. Great M&A Attorney
My firm, Prime Investments, was the sell-side adviser on a very complicated recapitalization involving three private equity firms. Rob Marks of Tomlinson Advisory provided legal representation to the seller. Buyer was represented by a large team at a Wall Street law firm. Rob Marks and Tomlinson did a great job negotiating favorable terms for the seller in all the various legal docs. Rob also oversaw and coordinated seller's response to buyer's voluminous disclosure document requests. Rob was always available and responsive throughout the process. All in all, Rob Marks did a great job and Prime would be certainly recommend his firm to anyone needing legal representation in an M&A deal.

Great fund and transaction attorney!

Great Professional ... Even Better Person
Most people hate dealing with lawyers ... even their own. Finding the exception to the rule is absolutely refreshing, and Rob Marks is just that. Rob is equally impressive in both his professionalism and his ability relate to clients. Rob possesses the ability to make quick personal connections. He can make you feel like you have known him for years, which makes trusting his judgment so much easier. Fortunately, Rob commands a keen acumen with regard to corporate finance and private equity; so, trusting his judgement also makes good business sense. I would highly recommend Rob Marks to anyone seeking corporate counsel or a good attorney to advise a start-up in its early stages of venture financing.

Very Pleased
My matter was small, but I got a very prompt and effective response. Mr. Marks was able to handle my transaction faster and more professionally than any lawyer I have dealt with in the past. His prices are reasonable. He is a pleasure to talk to. He understands his role as a facilitator and not a fear monger or deal killer.

Highest professionalism, speedy, and thorough
Rob helped us restructure the organization of a foreign entity in which we have part ownership. He was comfortable working in an overseas context, and he advised on pros and cons of various options so that we were really involved in making the important decisions. He turned around documents incredibly fast and was extraordinarily responsive when questions arose. A truly pleasurable experience!

Would absolutely recommend
Rob was a pleasure to work with on my potential acquisition transaction. Ultimately the acquiring company made a decision to go elsewhere but that was due to details about my business. During the process, Rob was timely and accurate and showed his knowledge of the space. He was a bit quick with his fingers at one time and cc'd someone on an email just meant for me, but no harm was done. Other than that he was excellent to work with.
