After serving as executor for my mother's estate and having to 1) find a lawyer in NY to assist with this, 2) find all of her various accounts as there wasn't any consolidated information (in fact, I found one account a year after the estate closed!) and 3) having to go through probate, I decided tha...t I should make it easier on my kids to handle my estate in the future. My financial advisor provided a reference for Jessica Marchegiano, ESQ. I had a brief introductory meeting with her and several other estate attorneys and decided she would be a great fit. Luckily for me, she was hired by my financial advisor's firm before I finalized my decision. She professionally handled all aspects of my trust providing advice as necessary with specific questions, she assisted with the transfer of my house title to the trust as well with all the necessary accounts within my advisor's firm, and provided me with a complete document, including the pourover will and medical power of attorney, within a few weeks. It was well organized and easy to follow. She was very easy to work with and even offered to meet with my kids (the beneficiaries) should they come to town. I will periodically review it and contact her for updates should they be necessary. I would not hesitate to contact Ms. Marchegiano for at least an introductory meeting if you are considering whether a trust is the right choice for you.

Jessica, and her team at JM Law, handled all of our Estate Planning needs from reviewing and explaining my parents' trusts, of which I was a beneficiary, to creating our own wills and revocable living trusts, even finding someone to draw up new deeds to retitle our real estate in accordance with her ...new plan, all in a friendly and professional manner which made the whole process a pleasure.
