My husband and I moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina from New Jersey in 1993. I have practiced law in New York and New Jersey before being admitted to the North Carolina bar. I always wanted to practice in the area of Estate Planning ever since I served as an intern in Manhattan's Surrogate Court during law school. I was finally able to devote myself to estate planning when I joined the Strauss & Associates, P.A. firm. I established and currently manage the Hendersonville office of the firm in 2001. In addition to my praciceI have a strong interest in charitable organizations and have served on the boards of numerous charities in New York, New Jersey and now in North Carolina. I am currently serving on the boards of United Way, Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy and the Park Ridge Hospital Foundation.
We have one son who is a financial planner in New York City, he is married and he and his wife are expecting their first child, a boy, in May, 2009. In addition to the delicious prospect of the arrival of my first grandchild, I enjoy riding my horse, Smokey, playing golf and torturing myself with Pilates.
My husband is a non-practicing attorney who is the President of Summit Title, a real estate title insurance agency in Hendersonville. Anything else you want to know? Just ask.
