According to VA state law, I would be considered a first time offender. The particular county that I was charged in as a young professional black woman particularly is not fond of a certain minority race. I was pulled over, abused by sheriffs, and arrested all in the same day. I do not do drugs nor d...rink and drive. I was locked up and released the following morning. I ended up going to the hospital to address and document the bruises and gashes I endured during the brutal arrest. I had never been in a predicament like this and ultimately felt like I was at my wits end. I was charged with a felony-assault & battery on a law enforcement officer(lie),resisting arrest,speeding infraction, obstruction w/o force, and no driver license.
