Tashina M. Gorgone

Tashina Gorgone is a partner at Maddox & Gerock, P.C. in Falls Church, Virginia, where her legal work centers on family law and appellate litigation. She represents clients in all aspects of family law, including custody, child support, and property distribution. Her experience includes handling complex custody matters involving allegations of domestic violence, substance abuse, and sexual abuse. Tashina has successfully litigated relocation cases and has represented both mothers and fathers in securing primary or shared custody of their children.

Tashina approaches each case with a problem-solving mindset. She is committed to helping families create legal solutions that meet their immediate needs while offering stability and reassurance for the future. She evaluates each case to determine whether alternative dispute resolution — such as mediation, settlement conferences, or the collaborative law process — may be appropriate. When litigation becomes necessary, she provides thorough preparation and assertive courtroom advocacy on behalf of her clients.

She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Mary Washington and her law degree from George Mason University School of Law, where she concentrated in litigation. During law school, Tashina was a member of the Moot Court Team, earning First Place at the Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition. She also served as a Notes Editor for the George Mason Law Review and participated in the Trial Advocacy Association.

Tashina is admitted to practice in all courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. She is active in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association — serving on the boards of the Family Law Section and the Women’s Caucus — as well as the Northern Virginia Women Attorneys Association and the Fairfax Bar Association. Her service to the local legal community includes conciliating in the Fairfax Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court, judging mock trials, hosting courthouse tours for students, and speaking at middle schools about careers in law.

She has been named a Virginia “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, and is included annually in Best Lawyers in America and Virginia Business Legal Elite in the field of family law.

A lifelong Northern Virginian, Tashina lives in Fairfax with her husband, Alex, and their two beagles, Copper and Penny. Outside the courtroom, she enjoys traveling and performing in local community theatre productions — from musicals to Shakespearean plays.
