Our case involved family law, custody and visitation. There were some aspects of our case that were unusual compared to most child custody cases. Our first lawyer, who was recommended by a friend of ours listened to my wife and I, but did not hear all that we said or was not familiar with laws perta...ining to our case. This lawyer interpreted our story in a legal framework that was familiar to them, but not applicable to us as it turned out. After 3 disappointing court appearances, another counselor in the case, a GLA, confirmed our fears that our attorney may not be presenting our case in a way that best represented our situation. This counselor recommended 3 other attorneys who might be more familiar with the legal issues involved in our case, one of whom was Nathan Olsen. In our first meeting with Nathan, it was his on point questions and sober advice that convinced us to request him to represent us. From that initial meeting on, he has impressed me with his careful analysis of our case, the research he did in preparing our case and his clear explanation of case law that supported our position. I felt Nathan was honestly doing his best for us at all times. He responded to all of our questions ensuring his answers were satisfactory. He clearly laid out what the possible outcomes might be so we were never in doubt about his approach and felt as confident as a client can feel in Juvenal and later Circuit court when your child is involved. In court was another matter. Nathan seemed organized and well prepared going into court, but in court he was amazing. He followed the outline he discussed with us, taking notes as he went and skillfully handled the examination and cross examinations. At no time did I sense that he was surprised by any answers. He quickly raised his objections with clear and convincing justification that inspired confidence. The summary he delivered touched on all the points he had made in his opening statement and clearly restated our position. I regret that we did not know Nathan at the outset of our Family Court issue, but I am heartily glad that we did when we did.

I came to Nathan with a complicated international divorce. To tell the truth, thought I was going to be told it was impossible.
