Steven Goldman

I engaged Steven Goldman for legal counsel surrounding the legal separation from my spouse in Northern Virginia. My experience with Steven as my counsel was not a positive one. In my opinion, Steven is a very intelligent and proficient attorney. However, in my experience the communication was inadequ...ate and unpleasant. I oftentimes felt “out of the loop” surrounding the status of my case. I feel Steven could have communicated my legal options, their implications, and probable outcomes in a more robust manner. When I raised these concerns with Steven, the tone of the attorney-client relationship deteriorated. In one instance, an Order was emailed to me from his legal assistant for my signature. The Order contained an outdated address. When I responded to the assistant’s email identifying the error, I received an unintentional email from Steven to the legal assistant with myself carbon copied “CC’d”, referring to me as an expletive. Steven did follow this email with a phone call in which he admitted the mistake and apologized. However, the incident further confirmed my skepticism of whether Steven was serving in my best interests. Needless to say, we terminated the relationship, and I was able to resolve my legal needs without Steven’s representation.

My case was drawn out over months, exhausting, nerve-wracking, and, at times, absurd. Thanks to Mr. Goldman, I swam through it like a fish in water. With a big, protective shark at my side. He never lost sight of what it was we were fighting for and made sure I didn’t, either. If you are living in a nightmare like I was, I can’t recommend Steve enough. He can wrangle with the impossible and reason with the illogical. He can draw people to your side of the argument. He is an astute person who excels at his job. If you hire him, the only thing you’ll feel bad for is the person on the other side of the table.
