Twice Exceptional Student Needing an IEP

We hired Cheryl to help us navigate through the complicated IEP process for our twice exceptional daughter at a Fairfax County School. Before bringing Cheryl into the picture, the school did not seem to want to consider an IEP for our daughter. Not only did having Cheryl help get their attention, ...I soon realized that there were so many options that Cheryl could help us procure for my daughter's IEP. Without Cheryl, we would have missed many opportunities available for our daughter as we do not know what are rights are in the school law area. With Cheryl, we successfully got the IEP. Cheryl is very generous with her time, and many times, I felt that she did not bill enough for the value of her services. Cheryl also has wonderful ideas and recommendations for all facets of raising children. Cheryl is an energetic and caring person to all. I cannot say enough about her impressive intelligence or the size of her caring heart. She truly advocated for our daughter as if she were her own.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
