There is a lot at stake with the federal disability retirement process. I wanted to have all my ducks in order and put forth the strongest case possible from the beginning. McGill got the packet approved on first review. I looked around for the best lawyer possible and hired McGill. I also spoke to ...several of his previous clients which he had helped to get an approval. All of them told me “Hire him”. I also read several articles that he had written. A friend asked me why I hired a lawyer to do a process which is free. Realize this, you are a “know nothing” when it comes to this process. If you fail to address everything that OPM wants addressed and you get a denial, you are at a huge disadvantage bringing in a lawyer, after the fact, to clean up some crayon eating mistakes that you so smartly made in your claim.
