also known as OPM Disability Retirement Lawyer, OPM Disability Retirement Lawyer
I am an OPM Disability Retirement Lawyer and have been practicing Federal Disability Retirement Law for over 25+ years.
Federal Disability Retirement, under FERS or CSRS, is a “paper presentation” to the U.S. Officer of Personnel Management. If it is denied twice — both at the Initial Stage of the process as well as at the Second, Reconsideration Stage — then an appeal can be filed with the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board. To be successful in geting disability retirement benefits at any of the 3 stages, it is important to consult with an OPM Federal Disability Retirement Lawyer to optimize your chances of success.
As an OPM Disability Retirement Lawyer, I believe that my educational background and experience makes me uniquely qualified in this field, and that is why I enjoy a high rate of success in getting my clients approved — at all three stages of the process.
I charge a “flat fee” — a 1-time fee not based upon an hourly rate. I decided years ago that I was not going to “nickle-and-dime” my clients, and that my clients were going to know up front what I charge.
I earned a B.A. in Philosophy from the Catholic University of America and graduated at the top of my class, summa cum laude. I then went on to do graduate work at the University of Virginia, and completed all course work for a Masters in Philosophy. Thereafter, I went to Law School and graduated from the Columbus School of Law, earning my Juris Doctor Degree.
My background and training in logic, analytical thought, writing technical philosophical treatises, and earning further training in the Law has prepared me to practice Administrative Law, where the majority of legal argumentation is through paper submissions and transactions. Persuasive argumentation, logical delineation and legal analysis are the tools for a successful outcome in representing Federal and Postal workers to obtain their Federal Disability Retirement benefits.
It is a passion of mine, and my clients will attest to the thoroughness of my work.

Hire him
There is a lot at stake with the federal disability retirement process. I wanted to have all my ducks in order and put forth the strongest case possible from the beginning. McGill got the packet approved on first review. I looked around for the best lawyer possible and hired McGill. I also spoke to ...

He is the real thing
Robert charges a fee based on your salary up front. It is a leap of faith to do that, so I believe information about how he practices should be available for review. Federal Disability is all he practices. When you fill out the forms, he knows what to write and more importantly what not to write. I k...

Please believe all the hype, It's for real!
2015, awarded OPM disability retirement from USPS. Still grateful until present to have had Attorney Robert R McGill advocate for me. His fee is small compared to the life long financial gain I am receiving. Read and believe the hundreds of reviews. I completely acknowledge all the reviews to be accu...

POSTAL DISABILITY
Attorney McGill was very responsive from the beginning and contacted the doctors early in the process to request the information needed. He always answered any questions we had during the process. The disability process was very stressful for me trying to apply on my own, so the money I paid Mr. McGi...

Hire Attorney McGill
Mr. McGill changed my life for the better, forever. I hired him to represent me for the OPM disability retirement application and adjudication process right from the beginning, based on what other federal employees who used him had told me. I was awarded disability retirement, no appeal needed and no...
