Robert R. McGill

Mr. McGill is extremely knowledgable and competent as an OPM disability lawyer. I applied for disability retirement on my own, and of course was denied. As soon as I got my initial denial letter, I called Mr. McGill the next day and hired him. He worked closely with with my doctors, took all the pres...sure off of me, and I was approved a week and a half after he submitted my reconsideration paperwork. A WEEK AND A HALF! I will be grateful to Mr. McGill for the rest of my life. I highly recommend anyone who needs to apply for OPM disability retirement to choose Mr. McGill, and to let your case go into his extremely capable hands. THANK YOU Mr. McGill!!

After searching for weeks for a good attorney, and trying to decide if I should represent myself, I ended up hiring Mr. McGill. I read countless reviews and finally called him. After speaking with him, I made the final decision to hire him, and I'm so glad I did. If you’re reading this review, I’ve b...een in your same shoes. Believe this review. Believe all of them. You seriously can’t choose any attorney better than Mr. McGill to help you with your disability retirement application. Any time I called or emailed, he was always responsive and helpful with my questions. He guided me through the whole process, and sets me at ease during what was most likely a the most stressful time in my life. Stop researching, call him and hire him. I promise you won’t regret your decision. Do not try and navigate this process by yourself, have him as your ally!

I was missing alot of work because of an injury when I was targeted for termination for political reasons (or so I believe). Because I was injured and not able to do the job I was hired to do, Mr. McGill looked over my paperwork and at the time he said he was confident that I was still eligible for F...ERS disability retirement.  9 months later and I get a letter stating that I was not eligible for disability retirement from OPM. I went back to my doctor who worked with Mr. McGill and resubmitted my application or whatever you call it. After about 10 more months I was shocked when it was approved. Mr. McGill is truly amazing at what he does. I really couldn't do my job anymore and HE GOT ME JUSTICE!! (A stolen advertisement from a local attorney office) If you are unable to perform the job you were hired to do, and you have a doctor who will agree, Mr. McGill is the person you need who will get you FERS disability retirement. He is worth his weight in gold! He will calm your anxiety with his expert knowledge of OPM, and case law, and get you approved. It's a long process, but when the bottom line is that you can't work and OPM's guidelines and red tape stand in your way of feeding your family, Robert will anticipate what they will say and submit why they must approve your disability retirement with past legal cases that went to court and won. He is absolutely the best and has mastered navigating OPM's ridiculous channels so that in the end you can rest assured that when Robert says that he is confident you will receive your retirement, that it is only a matter of time before you get what you and your family needs to live with the pain that you suffer from your service to our country. I still cannot believe he got me what my family needed to live like we did before I got hurt on the job.

I was truly blessed to find Mr. McGill when I was at my wit’s end, very sick with PTSD and knew I could no longer perform my job with the Department of Defense, but I had no clue what to do next; Mr. McGill did, and I sincerely thank him!! I would honestly give him 10 stars, if able, because he is... an overall phenomenal attorney who specializes and excels in ONLY Federal Disability Retirement. Plus, he cares about those whom he is representing! I feel he is unmatched in his legal acumen and very familiar with the routine players at OPM and the convoluted forms and processes which make it very clear you are most likely in for a fight for a benefit to which you are fully entitled!! Mr. McGill becomes your fist line of defense in whom you can trust to have your best interests at heart and will always reply to your emails and/or phone calls within 24 hours and most often, real time, which is extremely helpful when you have extreme anxiety about your financial future and ability to take care of your medical expenses!! He helped me through a lot of form requirements that I could not even become to comprehend due to my PTSD. Before hiring him, I read a lot of his reviews and articles and thought he sounded too good to be true so I was hesitant to hire him; however, that’s NOT the case. He is truly as good as all of his reviews indicate!! He is the SOLE reason I have FINALLY been awarded my Federal Disability Retirement after initial denial where OPM appeared to have not read anything we sent, and then, our subsequent appeal. His superior skills resulted in an exemplary, well written appeal focused on my disabilities, and I was approved in approximately 2 weeks after Attorney McGill submitted our appeal!! He is not afraid to be extremely frank and brutally honest with OPM to get your case approved! Again, We WON -- I have officially received my Federal Disability Retirement, courtesy of Mr. McGill!!
