also known as OPM Disability Retirement Lawyer, OPM Disability Retirement Lawyer
I am an OPM Disability Retirement Lawyer and have been practicing Federal Disability Retirement Law for over 25+ years.
Federal Disability Retirement, under FERS or CSRS, is a “paper presentation” to the U.S. Officer of Personnel Management. If it is denied twice — both at the Initial Stage of the process as well as at the Second, Reconsideration Stage — then an appeal can be filed with the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board. To be successful in geting disability retirement benefits at any of the 3 stages, it is important to consult with an OPM Federal Disability Retirement Lawyer to optimize your chances of success.
As an OPM Disability Retirement Lawyer, I believe that my educational background and experience makes me uniquely qualified in this field, and that is why I enjoy a high rate of success in getting my clients approved — at all three stages of the process.
I charge a “flat fee” — a 1-time fee not based upon an hourly rate. I decided years ago that I was not going to “nickle-and-dime” my clients, and that my clients were going to know up front what I charge.
I earned a B.A. in Philosophy from the Catholic University of America and graduated at the top of my class, summa cum laude. I then went on to do graduate work at the University of Virginia, and completed all course work for a Masters in Philosophy. Thereafter, I went to Law School and graduated from the Columbus School of Law, earning my Juris Doctor Degree.
My background and training in logic, analytical thought, writing technical philosophical treatises, and earning further training in the Law has prepared me to practice Administrative Law, where the majority of legal argumentation is through paper submissions and transactions. Persuasive argumentation, logical delineation and legal analysis are the tools for a successful outcome in representing Federal and Postal workers to obtain their Federal Disability Retirement benefits.
It is a passion of mine, and my clients will attest to the thoroughness of my work.

Look No Further....
Mr. McGill's letters were to the point and matter of fact. If you read his letters, they are solid. I had a little "hick up" with my case , OPM had dropped the ball. Mr. McGill's 2nd letter was just as powerful as the first. OPM called me ASAP to apologize for their error and gave us a response i...

Very happy! :)
Robert got me my FERS disability retirement at the MSPB, despite two denials by OPM. A frustratingly long process courtesy of the government, but ultimately successful thanks to Robert’s hard work! I don’t think I would have had the wherewithal to carry it to completion myself during an exceedingly f...

Set Your Mind at Ease
Mr. McGill's knowledge of OPM and federal disability law really made the journey tolerable. Other lawyers said my timeline was too short and caveated their efforts. Robert not only took the case but helped instill confidence. It was a stressful 10-month process of gathering documentation and waiting....

Strongly recommend!
My experience with Mr. McGill was very satisfying for many reasons. First, when you hire Mr. McGill, you get Mr. McGill, a lawyer with more than 30 years experience in the business. It is easy to become infatuated with the website of other disability groups who have partners with hundreds of years of...
