also known as OPM Disability Retirement Lawyer, OPM Disability Retirement Lawyer
I am an OPM Disability Retirement Lawyer and have been practicing Federal Disability Retirement Law for over 25+ years.
Federal Disability Retirement, under FERS or CSRS, is a “paper presentation” to the U.S. Officer of Personnel Management. If it is denied twice — both at the Initial Stage of the process as well as at the Second, Reconsideration Stage — then an appeal can be filed with the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board. To be successful in geting disability retirement benefits at any of the 3 stages, it is important to consult with an OPM Federal Disability Retirement Lawyer to optimize your chances of success.
As an OPM Disability Retirement Lawyer, I believe that my educational background and experience makes me uniquely qualified in this field, and that is why I enjoy a high rate of success in getting my clients approved — at all three stages of the process.
I charge a “flat fee” — a 1-time fee not based upon an hourly rate. I decided years ago that I was not going to “nickle-and-dime” my clients, and that my clients were going to know up front what I charge.
I earned a B.A. in Philosophy from the Catholic University of America and graduated at the top of my class, summa cum laude. I then went on to do graduate work at the University of Virginia, and completed all course work for a Masters in Philosophy. Thereafter, I went to Law School and graduated from the Columbus School of Law, earning my Juris Doctor Degree.
My background and training in logic, analytical thought, writing technical philosophical treatises, and earning further training in the Law has prepared me to practice Administrative Law, where the majority of legal argumentation is through paper submissions and transactions. Persuasive argumentation, logical delineation and legal analysis are the tools for a successful outcome in representing Federal and Postal workers to obtain their Federal Disability Retirement benefits.
It is a passion of mine, and my clients will attest to the thoroughness of my work.

Best FDR Attorney Around!
Attorney McGill is the best option out there to navigate the OPM nightmare. He's responsive to all inquiries and always did what he said he would do. I always felt prepared for every step in the process and Attorney McGill was always happy to answer any questions I had.

Federal Disability Retirement
I initially applied for Federal Disability Retirement on my own in August 2017. I was denied in June 2018. I hired Attorney McGill at the Reconsideration Stage. He is a true professional and informed my physician on exactly what was needed. He always answered any questions I had within 24 hrs. or...

Fantastic
I hired Mr. McGill to handle my reconsideration after an initial denial for Federal Employees disability. I found him to be positive in his attitude and tenacious in his actions. My doctor's office staff was ill equipped to write a letter that was effective in describing my condition. Mr. McGill was ...

Robert McGill
I hired Robert McGill to handle a federal employee disability retirement. He is outstanding, a true professional and delivered everything he said he would. I would not recommend even attempting to go through the process without him.

Thank you!
I was too impaired to file my own application for FERS DR. Atty McGill evaluated my situation, helped me understand the OPM process, and made sure that all my paperwork was in order. When my package was submitted, he made sure it was done correctly and with all the necessary documentation for OPM ...
