Andrew Alan Serafini Jr

A.J. Serafini, a lifelong resident of Hagerstown, Maryland, is the son of Andrew Serafini, Sr., a former State Senator for Washington County. He graduated from Grace Academy in 2005, then earned a B.S. in Government from Liberty University in just three years, graduating summa cum laude in 2008. He went on to receive his law degree from Liberty University School of Law, finishing in the top five of his class in 2011.

During law school, Serafini served on the moot court board, mentored first-year students, and coordinated the Street Law program, which educates at-risk youth about the value of following and respecting the law. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Association for Justice, The National Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice.

Serafini’s practice addresses a variety of matters, concentrating on personal injury, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse. He has achieved noteworthy outcomes for clients in Western Maryland and regularly attends advanced continuing education courses to stay up-to-date on evolving legal developments. He serves on the board of the Washington County Bar Association and previously served on the Judicial Nominating Commission under Governor Larry Hogan. Among his many recognitions are the Herald-Mail Readers’ Choice Award for Best Attorney (2018), the Herald-Mail Media “Best of the Tri-state” award (2019 and 2020), a Top 40 Under 40 ranking from the National Trial Lawyers Association, multiple appearances as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, and the Elite Lawyer designation.

Active in the local community, Serafini spent several years coaching varsity soccer at Williamsport High School and at Liverpool FC in Hagerstown. He and his wife, Kassi, attend Broadfording Church and support various faith-based organizations throughout Washington County. Past community leadership includes board service with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, where he chaired the endowment committee, and with Hospice of Washington County. Serafini remains committed to serving the legal needs of his hometown.
