multiple DUI charges

Mr. Gregg Schaaf is a considerate attorney who will listen to your case and is very reasonable. He has helped take away the worry of going through the court system and is a kind, but knowledgeable man. I made several phone calls and he actually took the time to listen in my sons DUI case while othe...rs wanted a fee Gregg didn't until court. I highly recommend Gregg- our outcome of the case was better than expected

Exceptional Professional

Upon learning that my son faced felony charges I knew he speedily needed legal help. I immediately went searching for an attorney via the internet. My criteria were expertise and experience in handling felony charges. Mr. Gregg Schaaf met these criteria so I contacted him via the phone. He was very... compassionate, courteous and professional and within minutes he emailed me the nature of the charges. He also went to the courthouse and obtained excerpts from more than one court jacket which he scanned and forwarded to me via email. This level of effort, and professional kindness, independent of compensation, is a rare thing in today's world. I was moved by his kindness and willingness to do this. The information he provided helped me to have a meaningful discussion with my son about his current circumstances. Ultimately without first talking with Mr. Schaaf, my son indicated he was most comfortable staying with the attorney who had helped him on a previous matter. Mr. Schaaf gave me a positive review of my son's former attorney, and wished my son well. Mr. Schaaf appeared to be a fully competent professional, and is a straight shooter and I would not hesitate to recommend others to consult with him if they or their loved ones are faced with criminal charges in Western Maryland.

Help for those who might not be ready

After doing extensive searching for an attorney in the Cumberland area, I found Mr. Gregg Schaaf. I contacted Mr. Schaaf on behalf of my sister who has traffic violation charges and a warrant for failure to appear. I wasn't certain how Mr. Schaaf could help my sister, but I thought I would try to e...xplain her case with him. Initially Mr. Schaaf and I spoke in length about my sisters charges and potential options. He went through in detail the various charges and progression of her case which took well over an hour. Mr. Schaaf then indicated that he wanted to go to the local courthouse and research my sisters several court files at the local courthouse and he seemed to know the local participants in the criminal process and was familiar with Maryland's Motor Vehicle Administration. Thereafter we conferenced my sister on the our phone call and Mr. Schaaf took the time to explain to my sisters options and was extremely empathetic to her situation as my sister discussed the details of her life and how her current situation arose. Mr. Schaaf was patient and showed empathy towards my sisters situation and ultimately offered his opinion and the next steps my sister needs to resolve her situation. I haven't hired Mr. Schaaf on my sisters behalf yet since she has to make the decision to turn herself in, but when she does I know who I will want to call to assist her. I am indebted to Mr Schaaf for his generosity with his time and simply being a compassionate, understanding attorney which is rare in today's world.”

Praise and Recommendation for Representation by Gregg Schaaf.

I hired Gregg for criminal defense charges on a case dated 1/28/2014. I obtained Gregg from a referral through my brother who took the time to research lawyer in the Cumberland area. I am a out of state resident and I was anxious about my criminal defense. Upon contact with Gregg I became at ease... and found his recommendations realistic and fees reasonable. I had many charges held against me based on my behavior including assault and resisting arrest. As a mental health patient with substance abuse issues, not knowing the position of the courts with this regard, and further anxiety about the process of prosecution for an out of state resident I was counseled in a fashion that put me at ease. In preparation and prior the trial I was counseled as to the documents necessary for verification and had the opportunity to meet with him individually on the day of the trial. I was given information about what was reasonable and was able to negotiate circumstances as to my condition on the night of my arrest. He represented me and gave information regarding my particular circumstances. I was also give the opportunity to apologize to the officers that I offended by the judge. I was arrested and placed in a detention center. In addition he took exceptional care of my possessions and made additional contacts for me while I was incarcerated which were above and beyond his call of duty. Upon release he took personal time to review my further questions and advised me of the necessary measures to maintain myself during the terms of probation. I would highly recommend his services due to his care and respect in my particular circumstances. Thanks for the representation Gregg.
