Do not use this attorney to represent you you will regret it. 7 years ago I made the mistake of hiring this attorney. This attorney presents himself who specializing in Sex Offense cases. He will tell you you need someone experienced with these cases. He will use scare tactics and tell you local a...ttorneys are not equipped to handle these type of cases. He will tell you you will face many years behind bars and use your fear as leverage to hire him. We hired him roughly 7 years ago and paid around 60,000. Because he is out of state he used a local attorney in New Hampshire to admit him into the process because he can’t do it himself. He told us the local attorney knew the police and prosecutors ,even though in this case she had hardly any experience with any criminal cases. ( the local attorney handled mostly real estate and maybe some minor cases. The bottom line was I spent over 3 years in prison and another three and a half on parole. I’m just getting done with it now. This attorney did everything he could to rush the case through because he was paid all of the money up front. Usually when you are arraigned on case this complex a trial date would be at least a year down the road. There are motions to file and proceedings that should take place. That didn’t happen in this case it was only 10 or 12 weeks after they wanted to rush to trial. We ask him to continue so we can prepare he refused and went along with his game plan. Why? Because he had already been paid!!. The representation was so bad the even the court officer said it was the worst defense he had ever heard in his entire career. Tom recommended that I just tell them I did it and it wasn’t against the law back in 1990. What a complete joke. He and his team only prepared for the case a few days prior to trial and the whole process started on a Monday and by Friday I was in jail awaiting to be sentenced. When my mother suggested that we get a sex offender evaluation done he resisted and said it wouldn’t help and he wouldn’t do it. Why? Because he had already been paid! We ended up firing them both prior to the sentencing hearing and got a local attorney who was really good. Not only was he good but he was well known in New Hampshire and was respected. We ended up paying another roughly 10,000 for the sentencing hearing now we were up past 70,000 without expenses. A lot of money to pay to spend 7 years out of your life. If you are facing charges do your research and hire a LOCAL attorney, who handles these cases there is always several in each state . Tommy May have won some cases out of probably hundreds of them but I don’t think it’s a chance you should take.
