Sharif Silmi

Sharif S. Silmi combines deep expertise in immigration and business law with a client-centered, results-driven approach. After earning his J.D. at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and a bachelor’s from California State University, he has represented clients from the EU, Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, Jordan, Pakistan, Egypt and beyond. His practice covers EB-1A, EB-1B and EB-2 National Interest Waivers, O-1A, L-1, H-1B, P-3, U visas, VAWA petitions, family-based cases, naturalization, consular processing, deportation defense and federal litigation. He also guides foreign businesses through E-2 treaty investments, U.S. branch-office formation and corporate compliance. A member of the American Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association and the District of Columbia Bar, Mr. Silmi authors articles on immigration law and advocates for policies that welcome skilled professionals, international students and vulnerable populations.
