Nurse's meal break win!

I am a Registered Nurse who wanted to bring action against my employer (Northport VA medical center) for unpaid meal breaks. I called dozens of Lawyers and each of the said that although I was correct it was too difficult to sue the government and win. Jacob was the only lawyer who saw the truth in m...y quest. We managed to get a number of the nurses to come on board and now all who stayed the course are receiving checks!

An Outstanding Attorney Who Truly Cares

Words cannot express how grateful I am to this firm, and especially to Jacob Statman. I did extensive research before choosing an attorney to represent me in my EEOC disability discrimination case as a federal employee. I interviewed several attorneys before making my decision, and hiring Jacob wa...s truly one of the best decisions I could have made. Throughout the entire process, Jacob was responsive, professional, and compassionate. He always returned my calls and emails, and he made me feel like he genuinely cared about my case and what I was going through. I never felt like just another client. We were able to reach a great settlement, and I was also able to receive my Reasonable Accommodation. I am incredibly grateful that I chose such a wonderful firm and an outstanding attorney who understands federal policies and the laws that protect federal employees when we need help. If you are considering hiring this firm, I highly recommend them. Don't hesitate to reach out—you will be in great hands. Thank you, Jacob, for everything!

badddd lawyer

Mr Statman kept me in the dark in the most crucial stage in my case, and it seemed he struck a deal with my employer to get me the least settlement. he lied to me and missed filing ontime, but he insisted that he filed on time. very bad lawyer. DO not hire him.

This is an anonymous post and I honestly have no idea who posted it. If you were unhappy with representation, I strongly encourage you to contact me directly to discuss this matter. I vehemently deny ever "striking a deal with an employer" at the expense of my client. I also deny ever missing a deadline and lying about it. Assuming you are truly a former client, I again, strongly encourage you to contact me directly to discuss this further.

"Mr. STatman is a top notch attorney. He puts in the extra time to make sure that every case receives the personal attention needed. He is original in his approach to resolving cases to his clients' satisfaction and has prevailed in important discrimination cases, like a recent $105,000 damages award to USPS employee denied reasonable accommodation. He settled a case for an HIV positive client for $85,000 and handles administrative cases nationwide."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
