I gave this Lawyer 1700 in 2018 he seem so nice on the phone I got him from a Consulting referral online Avvo to represent my son he never showed up when he did he wasn't prepared I called him and he never responded back except with a text telling me he would call but never did he lied to me I fel...t like he stole my money he told me that he couldnt get bail which was not true not only not true but my son got out on a very low bail with a public defender after I never heard from him I asked for my money back he refused in a text message I was going to report him to the bbb but to much involved Beware of people in sheep's clothing. Unfortunately that same son was murdered in 2018 well go and behold I was looking on Maryland search and see that this man is representing the people that murdered my son. ( really) I so was disappointed why because I choice this man because he was black and young I never look at lawyers the same anymore because of him. Becareful in choosing this guy he might be writing his own reviews.

His communication was good, not great, leading up to my speeding trial. Court was at 1:30 pm today. Singleton said he'd be in the building by 1:10. At 1:00 he said he was coming from another courthouse and would "be there shortly." By 1:30 he was not in sight, so I just entered the courtroom on my ow...n and represented myself. My case was the last one called, and Singleton still did not show up. At 1:55 I called Singleton and he said he was on his way. I told him the case was over and asked for a refund, which he promptly gave me. He seems like a nice guy who maybe over-booked himself, but I obviously can't give a guy who didn't show up higher than 1 star.

I hired Mr. Mathews for a traffic offense. He made me feel secure with his services so I let him go to work. I waited about 2 weeks then reached out to see when we were going to strategize as he put it and he didn't answer the phone. I called him each day of that week with no answer,responce,or tex...t. Finally the night before court I tried again to reach out and he didn't answer then at 8:30 pm sunday night he sends me a text saying that court had been postponed and he did not know when the new date was, so I looked up on Maryland case search and found it and then let him know it was postponed for another month. He then said he would call me during the week. I waited 1 week and then reached out when I hadn't heard from him. another 2 weeks go by with multiple calls and texts and no response or call back. Finally 3 days before court once again I text him and tell him that he has me worried, and then he calls and says he has scheduled a meeting with the states attorney and would call me after, I never heard from him. The day of court comes and I'm sitting in the courthouse and he isn't there. I text and say I was there waiting and I got no response. Finally 15 minutes after the judge started the docket a random guy Ive never met or talked to calls my name. He barely knew my case and had pretty much no idea what was going on, and said he would post pone sentencing for when Mr. Mathews would be with me. The judge denied that and handed down her sentence and then had to help explain my rights and what was going on because the guy standing next to me didn't seem to remember all the information he was supposed to give me. The judge told him to stop and then she explained everything to me. I asked the judge could I have the day to get my affairs in order and she said yes. I was pretty much fighting for myself at this point. When I left the courthouse I called my lawyer several times scared and upset and wanting to know what my options were and he didn't answer. I must've called at least 5 times. When I completed my sentence I arrived home to no messages from my attorney. I called a d called again and still no response. What did I pay him for if he never communicated with me. I don't care about having to own up for my wrong doing, what I do care is putting my freedom in someone elses hands and then he disappeared on me. He could have at least talked to me. He just kept ignoring me and I paid for his services which he never provided. I hired him not the random guy that showed up and didn't know my case!! I'm very disappointed. I wish he would have just talked to me and if he couldn't come to court he should've reached out for a postponement.
