Mr. Matthews spoke eloquently in my defense for a traffic violation that could have resulted in me not being able to commute to work anymore. He was knowledgeable, professional, and attentive to my case. I would absolutely use Mr. Matthews' services again and strongly recommend him. My case was in fr...ont of a judge in Baltimore county district court, and he managed to secure probation before judgement despite a spotty driving record.

I hired Singleton Mathews for a criminal case back in 2020. It is now 2023 and the case is still ongoing and he disappeared. He did not continue with the case until trial. Very unprofessional in his manner of doing business. He does not respond to calls or text messages or emails. He took a total of... 12500 and did nothing. I asked for an itemized receipt he could never provide one.He does not advocate for his client, or has any intentions of finishing the job. He drags his feet for everything and gets nothing done. Failed to file motions that his client requested. Poor communication skills, poor customer service. Don’t waste your time, energy or money on this man. Hiring him is one of my biggest regrets. Having an encounter with the judicial court is already scary, and not understanding all the terminology or the process of how things go can cause stress and anxiety. I trusted him to handle the case with his expertise however, he failed me greatly and cannot trust him or his firm. I would not recommend to no one.

His communication was good, not great, leading up to my speeding trial. Court was at 1:30 pm today. Singleton said he'd be in the building by 1:10. At 1:00 he said he was coming from another courthouse and would "be there shortly." By 1:30 he was not in sight, so I just entered the courtroom on my ow...n and represented myself. My case was the last one called, and Singleton still did not show up. At 1:55 I called Singleton and he said he was on his way. I told him the case was over and asked for a refund, which he promptly gave me. He seems like a nice guy who maybe over-booked himself, but I obviously can't give a guy who didn't show up higher than 1 star.
