ACGME Expert for Those in Medical Training

Mr. Care is kind, professional, and from my vast research, the foremost authority on ACGME in the United States for those in medical training. If you have a medical education issue, do not contact anyone else. ACGME standards are complicated and can be interpreted differently by various teaching... hospitals. I highly recommend contacting him if you need assistance with a medical education issue.

Assertive timely counseling and guidance

I needed timely guidance navigating NRMP waiver, and Mr. Gregory Care responded to my request within hours of first contacting his office. He walked me through the entire process, demonstrating his vast knowledge in the matter. He provided guidance on how to address my situation and reviewed all per...tinent documents inside and outside paid time. I would highly recommend Mr. Care for NRMP waiver requests, regardless of the underlying reason for the waiver.

Resident due process.

I consulted Attorney Care after my residency program dismissed me for irrelevant reasons. Most importantly he helped in preparing a a letter in response to the dismissal. He had good fund of knowledge regarding evaluations and was aware of ACGME and had experience of helping many other resid...ents in similar situations. Eventually we reached a Settlement and the hospital agreed on writing me a reasonable letter and formal agreement was reached including being compensated for the time spent finding another residency. Most importantly he cares about his clients and is always there for them.

Fantastic support for a resident physician threatened with termination

When I hired him to help me fight a non-promotion and threat of academic probation/termination from my residency, Greg was extremely professional and made himself available to meet tight deadlines with little notice. He knows the ins and outs of ACGME residency program requirements and he effectively... used his knowledge and experience to help me attain success in my appeal, a process that is heavily weighted to favor the program director/hospital and not the resident physician. Without Greg, I would not have had the time nor understanding of the complex rules that govern ACGME residencies, to win my promotion in residency. I would recommend him to any resident physician facing similar threats and hire him again in an instant.

A Lifeline to Residents

After spending my entire life dedicated to my medical education, with a debt of 300,000 dollars on my shoulders alone, I was hardly prepared for the unfair trials that I would face during my first year residency training, including the wrongful termination that left me traumatized and utterly shocked....  No one trains you for this day. No one tells you that residents have no protection and are very disposable. The system is not designed to benefit us, even though it is supposedly dedicated to training us.  As a resident physician, I have learned that it is a privilege for patients to trust me, a complete stranger, in a time when they feel scared, out of control, out of their element and vulnerable. After all, it is someone else’s life in my hands.  In this same way, I found my life in Greg Care’s hands, during a time when I had no choice but to trust him, a complete stranger, when I was scared, out of control, out of my element and vulnerable. My life was in good hands and in good hands it shall stay.  Greg Care is a trusted confidant who respects the vulnerable place in which we seemingly end up in with absolute disbelief. He is a man of business who does not waste time with small talk. His work speaks for itself. He has a depth of experiential knowledge that is clearly recognized in his concise communication and its tactful delivery.  He has an honest accountability to the costs of the already financially challenged resident.  Greg Care is someone I would recommend without hesitation. He is a lifeline to residents when no one else can hear and they have become a castaway.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
