C. Wayne Davis

I first met Wayne Davis about 12 years ago when, as Managing Director of a major bank's private equity mezzanine fund, I invested in a company that Wayne represented. Over the ensuing two years I got to know Wayne better and when I left the bank to start my own fund, Wayne was a trusted adviser on o...rganizational matters, etc. Over the past ten years Wayne has provided valuable advice regarding investment structure, M&A questions, contracts, and legal and business due diligence. I suspect he has represented my fund in over 30 investment transactions (totalling over $250MM in the aggregate) - always in a most professional manner. The thing that makes Wayne different is that it doesn't matter if the portfolio company is represented by a big New York firm or a local, sole practitioner - he represents himself and, as such, my fund, in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
