Charlotte Kingsley Weinstein

I consulted Charlotte Weinstein for my divorce. She appeared to listen attentively and took copious notes about my situation. She told me she intended to get back to me with a draft separation agreement within the week. I left her office feeling confident and hopeful. The week passed. I heard nothing.... Then more weeks passed with no communication from Charlotte. I emailed her several times, politely requesting status of the draft agreement. Finally, two months later she emailed me what was clearly a boilerplate separation agreement that had not one thing to do with my situation, despite all the notes she had taken at the consult. The draft was in full-blown lawyerese, and there were gaps in sections where sentences just trailed off. I was then expected to invest time and money into trying to salvage her unconscionably abysmal work. At over $400 an hour, the corrections would easily have run into the thousands. I had had enough and realized it was time to cut my losses. I fired her and engaged an excellent, attentive attorney at a firm in Annapolis. Charlotte did not refund even a portion of my retainer, so it was a costly lesson. Don’t make the same mistake.

Absolutely do not recommend this attorney. I’m shocked at her reviews, maybe she scared people into submission. Not kidding- I’ve actually Never left a bad review before but this woman is scary. It’s taken me seven years to actually tell this story because she is so threatening. After my husband aban...doned me she actually dropped my case in the middle of everything!!

I hired Charlotte in feb of 2021 for a emergency custody from the beginning she knew my only concern was to get my child back(my husband took her from me after we separated with no custody order, made accusations) she missed the mark on everything, it took months for me to get into court bc she agre...ed to a mental evaluation and didn’t request one for him, forgot to file the correct documents once we got to court the judge told her she couldn’t even speak about that topic, came to court not ready to fight for my case, she didn’t remember dates argued about his financials which made it seem like I was after money not my child, didn’t ask my character witness to speak, he did so he looked amazing on the stand; I lost Pl and custody after that I I interviewed 5 top lawyers and they all said that it’s bc of her I lost my hearing and how she presented the case, after 10k plus in March/April 2021 I finally fired her and got a grear lawyer who instantly got me my baby back and my prenup admitted to court this is the very short version please if your going thru high conflict do not go with Charlotte I think that once she was a great lawyer bc many people said she was but not now Also she came to court looking like she just rolled out of bed , kept putting her Mask down which the judge kept asking her not to do it was a complete disaster after thousands of dollars and 3 months of not seeing my baby I wish I didn’t rush picking a lawyer
