Avoid if u can!!!

The worst lawyer i have seen in my life who has no desire to work in best interest of his client. Lied so many times from the get go. He told me that university lawyer told him that they would not complaint to the board if i resign my privileges and after 3-4 months i found out that university still ...complained to the board. He kept saying that it is gonna be 6 months suspension if you play defensively and not to justify and send them all the proofs as it's not evidentiary hearing and it will harm your case. Well board did not care and still force me to do permanent surrender with using the power outside of their scope. Lawyer kept calling me and my x even though i fired him and i did not withdraw my consent to talk to my X and he ignored that. He charged me more than 50 K for being in the board hearing for 1-2 hrs. He just did not do his job. Even though he is employment lawyer he lied to us that he is also good in Board matter but fact was he had no idea what he was doing.

Delay Tactics

Don't believe John if he tells you he will take your case on a contingency basis. He will only keep delaying with not response to any of your inquires for months, the after about 5 months write you a letter stating that he cannot win your case so he is dropping the case. Not impressed at all as I did... not even request for contingency in the first place, he offered it right off the bat, but he is not willing to do the work, or any investigations needed, which I would have been willing to pay for.

Unfortunately, there are times when an attorney is given facts that cannot be supported. Usually, this relates to the damages. If the amount of total damages is so small that even if the case is won, the attorney cannot obtain a fee sufficient to justify the amount of time involved, the we would turn the case down. In many cases, an attorney cannot assess the amount of damages for a good deal of time until after the unlawful act occurs. We may also find out that the initial information provided by the client is not supported by the witnesses identified by the client. Obviously, it a contingency fee case, it does not benefit a client or the attorney to engage in litigation that cannot be won. This information is contained in all retainers and we will not engage in representation until a client has signed the retainer agreement. At the Singleton Law Group, we always act in the best interest of the client.
