Glenn L Klavans

GLENN L. KLAVANS was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1978 and is also a member of the United States Bankruptcy Court – U.S. District Court Bar, the Bar of the 4th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and the United States Tax Court.  He is an Honors graduate of Drew University and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Mr. Klavans is also a former Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore, having served ten years in the Felony Trial Division, Sexual Offense Task Force, Juvenile Division, and as that office’s first Special Assistant for Narcotics Investigations.  From 1988 to 1993 he was Senior Associate attorney with the law firm of Polovoy & McCoy, where he was primarily involved in complex civil litigation, criminal defense and bankruptcy matters.  In 1993 he began his own law firm, and has continued as the Law Offices of Glenn L. Klavans, LLC, providing a wide range of legal services.

Mr. Klavans is a volunteer “judge” for the Maryland State Bar Association’s Statewide High School Mock Trial Competition, and is a member of the Maryland State and Anne Arundel Bar Associations, as well as a former Board member of the James C. Cawood, Jr. American Inn of Court.  He currently serves as Chairperson of the Anne Arundel Bar Association’s Law School for the Public, which presents free legal seminars on various topics to citizens throughout the County.

Mr. Klavans is the proud recipient of the 2012 Anne Arundel Bar Association Trustees Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Bar Association and the Legal Profession.
