HIRE HER!

I can't say enough great things about Tracey Perrick. I hired her to represent me in a child custody case and connected immediately with her. Tracey was diligent, VERY persistent (which is what I needed), and had an incredible work ethic. While she expressed a true empathy for my situation (and my s...on!) she was NO NONSENSE and passionate about getting the results I wanted. She represented me to the fullest. It's also important to note that Tracey was well respected by others in the court at Howard County.

Firm, compassionate, practical, patient -- excellent divorce attorney

Tracey came recommended to me through a mutual friend/lawyer when I said I wasn't looking for a shark; I was looking for bulldog who was also kind. Tracey is a bulldog...but with a golden retriever thrown in there for good measure. She was so so patient with me as I emotionally prepared for filing fo...r divorce, but she was also firm and persistent about needing to protect myself and my interests regarding my financial life and the security of my children. She gave me time, but was always persistent...a magic combination that I needed more than anything. In the beginning, some of my desires were more sorrow-based, and she advised me about the practical implications of my less sensible wishes. Implications like: paying her way too much in lawyer fees in order to achieve something that would probably make my sad but mostly peaceful divorce far more acrimonious. I never once doubted that she had my best interests at heart; not some billable bottom line. She was also deft at pushing me toward choices she knew would make things cleaner and even kinder in the long run, but that seemed harsher in the present moment. I had no experience with divorce and was very uncertain as to all the steps, and distraught by the black-and-white of some of Maryland's arcane rules around custody, child support, etc. She walked me through the steps, and helped me see things more clearly. And she was also respectful when I held to a choice that she didn't necessarily understand, but accepted my reasoning. In the end, the divorce (in Montgomery Co.) was a short and straightforward case, but Tracey still had a hand on mine while I struggled through my answers to her questions. I say this to point out that while Tracey is clearly amazing at the high-stakes cases in the other reviews, she is also wonderful in the legally simpler situations that are no less heart-breaking.

Highly Reccomend

Tracey Perrick was hired to represent my husband and me, in order to defend a full custody lawsuit for their two children brought on by his ex wife. This case unfortunately was not able to settle, so we had to go to trial. With all of the emotional, financial, and mental tolls that court battles br...ing on, it was a relief to know that Tracy had the competence to represent us without either of us having to worry or question her strategy. You need someone who has your best interest (and your children's best interest in our case) at heart and who has the confidence to be aggressive when needed but also the compassion to be firm and fair. She took detailed notes, and took a sincere interest in diving deep to understand our situation, which ultimately came through in court. Our case was won. Tracey was able to show the judge how we truly had the children's best interest at the forefront of every decision my husband and I made. Tracey did such an incredible job with the facts and her questions, that the judge ended up issuing a ruling that my husband be awarded full custody. The case was heard in Howard County, and I can imagine was pretty shocking to hear about a "dad" getting full custody. We continued to work with Tracey as my husbands ex filed an appeal. Tracey made sure to follow up and execute a proposed agreement that was professional and yet stern and to the point. I am relieved to say that we have this behind us. I would highly recommend Tracey Perrick to represent you (male or female) if you feel the need to have to hire or speak with a lawyer. I pray that we never have to resort to council again, but if ever needed, Tracey would be our first choice to represent either of us for any family issue.

Highly recommend Tracey Perrick

Tracey Perrick did an outstanding job protecting both my financial interests and, more importantly, my children's safety when establishing a visitation schedule. Unfortunately, my divorce involved extraordinary circumstances related to safety concerns that Tracey handled thoroughly and professionall...y. Over the years, it has been necessary for me to go back to Tracey for additional legal advice and she has always provided guidance that has been useful and helpful. I highly recommend Tracey Perrick to anyone who has child custody/visitation concerns or has other family law matters.

Compassionate and knowledgable

I met with Tracey not long after my husband left me for someone else, so to say it was an emotional and confusing time for me would be an understatement. Not only was Tracey professional but she was also compassionate to my situation and extremely informative. She continued to answer my many question...s (as I really didn't have a good understanding of the laws surrounding divorce in Maryland) without complaint or judgment. She never seemed annoyed or frustrated by my confusion or requests for her to explain things again. Her understanding of the laws and ability to clearly explain processes and next steps to me made this otherwise very stressful time a lot easier. She even regularly checked on me to see how I was doing emotionally so I really felt that she cared about my well being.
