Great and superb lawyer
Mr. Zipin is always easy, pleasant and of course one of the best lawyers. I was given very professional advice during our consultation which helped me a lot. You know what to expect from your lawyer, and Mr. Zipin does not let you down. After the court ruled in my favor in March, defendants wanted to...

When you are in the battle of your life... need a true soldier
I found Mr. Zipin to be thoughtful, knowledgeable, and professional in dealing with a mammoth employment discrimination issue. He is a member of the Women's Law Network. I appreciated his strategy and his empathy. Also, he did not run up some bill by over talking on the phone-- just to the point. He ...

Thoughtful, Professional, Strategic Employment Counsel
Yesterday, I received the settlement check that Phil Zipin helped me obtain from my former employer. It was twice as high as I was hoping to obtain when I went in to discuss the matter with Mr. Zipin. Not only was Phil able to give me excellent advice and to negotiate a favorable settlement, but I ...

not to trust
I don't know why some people lie when rating lawyers here.I wont. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS MAN. He advised me to withdraw my case while I could have the EEOC represent me.That was the mistake I'm regretting till today. First he wanted $425/hr before talking to me,then after I paid that he wanted $2...
Obviously, this is an outlier. This person came in for a paid consultation. His case was not strong, and I declined to represent him on a contingency basis. He was angry about that. Bar Counsel did not pursue any claim, as there was none.

A Competent and Caring Professional
Speaking from experience, I would highly recommend Phil Zipin, as legal counsel, to anyone who has been the subject of a wrongful discharge or discrimination in the workplace. I was careful to do my research before requesting a consultation, regarding my own case, involving disability discrimination....
"Phil is a tireless advocate for his clients representing the best our profession has to offer. He is a joy to work with and has enabled me to break through a stalemate in a volatile matter we are working on together. I endorse him without reservation."
"I have known Phil for over 10 years. He is absolutely the "go-to" attorney for wage claims in this area. Additionally, his demeanor and easy-going manner are loved by his clients. I highly recommend him."
"Phil Zipin is committed to workplace justice. For over twenty years he has fought to recover wages and overtime in state and federal courts throughout the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland. Phil has litigated many, many cases, and settled many more, recovering not only his clients' wages, but their dignity, too. Phil and I worked together on two wage and overtime cases in federal court, and I saw his excellent judgment and great warmth. He was offended by the abuse of these employees by the employer who intentionally withheld wages and overtime, preying on the employees' vulnerable situation. You can do no better than retaining Phil Zipin for your employment issue."
