Unethical & Disappointing

Mr. Krikawa is not an attorney I would recommend. My case went on for two years. In that time, Mr. Krikawa made the communication between he and I very difficult. He wouldn't respond to emails or phone calls. I made it perfectly clear that these ethics were totally unacceptable via emails and occas...sional pop ups to his office. The communication was so bad that my third party attorney had to schedule a meeting between the three of us in order to create a more acceptable line of communication...Mr. krikawa failed to show & without notice! As a result, I started the process of relieving Mr. Krikawa of his duties pertinent to my case. While in attendance of this meeting & later realizing that Mr. Krikawa was not going to be in attendance. I requested that Mr. Krikawa be contacted and brought in on a conference call. Once Mr. Krikawa was contacted, I explained to him in detail my concerns. At which time, I advised Mr. Krikawa that a severance of the relationship would be warranted. My third party attorney sat idol during the discussion. As I started to prepare in writing the dismissal of Mr. Krikawa services, I was contacted by my third party attorney 24 hrs later advising me that my employer had contacted Mr. Krikawa deciding to settle my Worker's compensation case. Mr. Krikawa did not contact me directly. I immediately contacted Mr. Krikawa to start the negotiations. Mr. Krikawa made several proposals. One of which, he failed to advise me of. After learning this, I made a physical appearance to his office and stressed my concern(s) of such unethical conduct. As Mr. Krikawa made attempts to provide several excuses, I made it clear that copying me on every attempted & successful communication made during the negotiation be necessary. Mr. Krikawa respected my concerns and honored my requests. However, once the agreement of the settlement amount had been reached, Mr. Krikawa drew up a draft of our stipulations. Mr. Krikawa took 2 wks to forward this draft to both me and the opposing attorney. Mr. Krikawa cause for the delay was that his office went without phone service and internet capabilities for a full week. We are now well past a month since the initial request to settle had been requested by my employer. Once Mr. Krikawa services were allegedly restored, he forwarded me & the opposing attorney a copy of the draft. This process he claims took 2 weeks to pass through the necessary channels of the opposing side. After countless emails and phone calls wondering why the process were taking so long & I finally received a email stating that he was going on vacation. That I will be able to sign off on everything however he wouldn't be able to submit the final draft for approval until he returned. Therefore prolonging the process even longer. Mr. Krikawa, has far disappointed me on how he handled my case and I will NOT recommend this attorney for representation. He provides more excuses than resolution. None of which are in favor of the client.

Not Recommended

A very disappointing lawyer. Didn't follow through on promises, gave me bad advice, dragged out my law suit by doing nothing, came to a hearing unprepared for the chaos that ensued, didn't call when he said he would. Basically, I felt he was incompetent. I got a new lawyer.

A lawyer NOT on your side

He was not efficient, he came to court with a google map of the accident area. He did not provide pictures of my husbands accident. He changed to a bench trial from a jury on the day of court, and never advised us of the change. After we LOST, he stated he changed because he thought a judge would... be more sympathetic.. He sent us a letter saying he wouldnt appeal, after the date that would would have been able to hire another lawyer to submit an appeal... we wated three years to lose.
