Native Marylander

There are good, bad, and mediocre people in every occupation, including lawyers/attorneys. If you are lucky, you might find someone who is spectacular. Gerald Gimmel is spectacular. Mr. Gimmel is honest and knowledgeable not only of current laws but also of pending laws that may affect you. He d...oesn't merely fill in the blanks of standardized forms with whatever you want to include, collect his fee, and fade out of your life. He advises on which documents are appropriate for YOUR specific circumstances, and warns you if you are seeking to include statements in your will that are legally not appropriate. The latter apparently happens too often. After paperwork is signed and fees are collected, Mr. Gimmel continues to be available for quick advice on related matters. He recently guided me around legal quagmires as I assisted a dying relative. Gerald Gimmel provides a level of service I've never seen or heard of for any other estate attorney.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
