Greencard

Mr Kankakee took our money and never got no results we took line of credit on our home and got us in debts. He was highly recommended with poor results. Today I have my Green card snd on my way to citizenship.

Ghosted Us After Paying

My family and I hired Mr. Kabik while he worked at the Shulman Rogers firm. He told us he did $10,000 worth of work (time and supposedly submitting forms). Then we agreed in writing to follow him when he left the firm. We were then unable to get any response from him until we called the Maryland Bar ...Association to make sure we had the correct contact information. They got in contact with him and he then contacted us within one day. He contacted us via WhatsApp, exchanged a few messages that did not address our concerns and we have never heard back from him again. We then had the idea to call the Immigration office in Washington DC to ask them where Mr. Kabik had left off in the process so that we could continue on our own. They have NOTHING on their records from Mr. Kabik. I’m not sure what he did with our $10,000 but I hope he knows how badly he hurt my family. We struggle financially and could have used that money to feed and house our family. My hope is that this review will save other families from experiencing this with Mr. Kabik.

Reviewing Attorney Michael Kabik

I have hired attorney Michael Kabik as an immigration lawyer before he worked at Shulman Rogers. Michael did immigration work for my company for few years and also for me personally. In my opinion, Michael is a real expert in his field. More importantly, Michael is a compassionate person who really w...ants to help people solve their problems and is always ready to help

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
