I am licensed to practice in all Courts in MD, DC and VA and have been a practicing attorney for approximately 39 years. (I am also a member of the United States Supreme Court bar). My rates are reasonable and I am a seasoned attorney. I am a 1981 graduate of Lehigh University (Bethlehem, PA) and a 1984 graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law (Cleveland, OH). In 1995, I decided to form my own law firm, a general practice concentrating in plaintiff's personal injury, family law matters, estate planning, corporate formation and representation, and criminal defense. I have handled hundreds (and in some areas, thousands) of cases in each of those practice areas. I present well-reasoned approaches to problem-solving, spend a great deal of time getting to know the issues and the people involved, and then work hard to craft solutions, both in and out of court. I truly care for my clients, take a holistic approach to problem-solving (engaging a wide variety of treatment and counseling professionals to assist in the case when needed), and I take pains to make sure my clients are well-suited to move on with their lives when their legal matters are concluded.
After being carjacked, shot and left for dead in the District of Columbia in 1996, I developed an intense interest in the representation of crime victims. I am an an outspoken advocate of victim’s rights and a former member of the Montgomery County and State of Maryland Victim Services Advisory Boards. (I was the Co-Chairperson of the Montgomery County Victim Services Advisory Board from 1998-2002). I am a recipient of the Maryland Governor’s Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Contributions in the Field of Victim Rights and Services and the Maryland Reflections and Spirit Award for Outstanding Service on Behalf of Crime Victims. I am also a board member of the Maryland Justice Reinvestment Act Oversight Board. I am listed in "Who’s Who in America." I live in Montgomery County with my daughter, Miranda.
I am willing to meet with clients day or night and on weekends and to otherwise accommodate their schedules. I will work hard and fight for every client.

I’ve known Bill for several years. He’s a great guy! I had the opportunity to use him as an attorney recently. His prices were very reasonable and he put a lot of effort into and did a great job for us. There was a lot of concerns I wasn’t aware of, and he handled them all with ease. We were gradual...
