Virginia B Joehl

For over twenty years Ms. Joehl has focued her practice on contested family law litigation; including separation, divorce, high asset marital property division, use and possession of the family home, alimony, contested custody, grandparent custody and access, modification and contempt/enforcement actions, pre and post-nuptial agreements, child support and domestic/intimate partner violence. 

Ms. Joehl is a court-approved representative for children in contested custody cases, she is also a court approved mediator for custody and divorce property matters.   Ms. Joehl is a compassionate counselor and zealous advocate who uses her psychology background and training to better understand and serve her clients needs as they transition through changes in family structure.   Ms. Joehl is fully prepared to successfully manage your change in family structure through negotiation, mediation and, when needed, litigation.  She will help you pick and follow the best path out, and the best path forward,   

Ms. Joehl is also a trained and court approved mediator and can help you and your co-parent create a parenting plan for success to avoid the expense, financial and emotional, of a contested custody battler.

Ms. Joehl is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, Frederick County Bar Association,  Maryland State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Maryland Association for Justice as well as an Inn of Court Master of the Bench.  

Ms. Joehl is a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, Maryland and an active volunteer in her community and the City of Gaithersburg where she has resided and raised her family for more than twenty years.
