Great choice for trial case.

Virginia was a great lawyer!!!! I had a tricky case and she won my trial case by a landslide. When I first spoke to Virginia she was very patient and caring, she would note every detail of my situation so she made sure it was addressed at court. This woman works hard and long hours for preparation be...fore the court date. I would definitely recommend hiring her.

Awesome, seriously.

Virginia Joehl is smart, intuitive and bold. She knows when to confront issues head-on, when to anticipate alternatives and when to thwart tactics that could otherwise lose a case. While she does make time to understand she also goes with her gut. Her willingness to collaborate thoughtfully is bal...anced by her quickness in a fight. She keeps the case (and me) focused on facts that matter and always spends time and money wisely. Refreshingly, she's funny enough to make bad stuff bearable with just the right touch of sarcastic. Seriously. I am more confident from this experience and I believe clients have an unmatched advocate in Virginia Joehl.

Divorced in July 2011

Virginia was super. She responded quickly to my calls/emails and she was very frugal with her time. I had complete trust and confidence in her. I filed and asked for a July court date and she and her team secured the date.

Very Poor Representation

Although she talks a good game and touts her two decades in the field, my experience with Virginia was awful! I hired her because she was reviewed so highly. Unfortunately, it was quite the contrary for me. Once the initial retainer was made, I hoped things would get better along the way. They didn’t... – but after thousands of dollars in, it was too late to pull the plug, I had to work with what I had. She showed little concern my best interest (or my child’s) and would often forget the details of my case in follow-up conversations. I had to resend documents on several occasions because she would lose the originals. She embarrassed me in courtroom – she could not recall the details of my last hearing when the judge inquired. She also could not argue the fact of my case effectively and stumbled on her words. She was extremely difficult to reach – I was placed on hold for long periods of time. She did not answer questions thoroughly and/or would give conflicting answers – she was often abrupt in responding to my inquiries and once snapped at me via email. She arrived to the courthouse late, was often sloppy and disheveled, and appeared incoherent. When my case was reopened, I luckily found another attorney who was awesome. However, I wish I had stumble upon him a lot sooner. When a court makes the final decision on matters affecting your family life, it’s essential to obtain the best representation possible. Working with Virginia wasted a lot of time and money.

"I had cases against Virginia and was impressed with her to the point that I recommended that my firm hire her. Virginia and I subsequently worked together for 4 years until I left the firm. I have since referred cases to her and give her my highest recommendations based on her knowledge of the law, but also in her skill as a negotiator and litigator and applying the law."
