After my DUI, I was fortunate to become acquainted with The Gibbs Law Firm through a website referral and I am so happy that I chose Amir Gibbs to represent me during my court proceedings. In July 2020, I entered a contract to purchase a new home. I was parked and walking to sign the final documents on settlement day and received a call that the financing didn't go through. I asked for my earnest deposit to be returned to me by the broker, and it was. The owner of the home decided to... sue me three years later as he felt he was entitled to the earnest deposit, although he gained by selling the property for a higher amount than I was supposed to purchase it. I am not one to look in the rearview. If this greedy human felt he deserved my hard-earned money, God will deal with him. I wasn't even going to fight. I only look forward, not backward. Mr. Amir Gibbs, Esq. was not going for that. He knew I was being taken advantage of, and he demonstrated a level of care I am not used to experiencing from people who don't know me well. Mr. Amir Gibbs, Esq. is professional, and walking into court, I didn't feel an ounce of worry as he was knowledgeable about contracts. I sat beside him in court and didn't have to say anything. He made his opening statement in my small claims defense and asked questions I never thought to ask. On the fly, as he had limited information, he could think on his feet using the plaintiff's evidence as his own. The next thing I knew, he said something about a motion, and the case was over, and somehow, the plaintiff owed me money. Mr. Amir Gibbs, Esq. was impressive. Despite the joy of winning my case, he cared about stopping the injustice that was about to happen to me. Let me repeat that, "Mr. Amir Gibbs, Esq. cared." That was priceless. I respectfully recommend that anyone exhausted by negative, miserable, greedy, and privileged people or organizations seek Mr. Amir Gibbs's counsel. He was my light at the end of the tunnel. The level of negligence this law firm has shown has been beyond despicable. I signed my contract and paid my retainer on May 20, 2022 for simple forms. This firm has made nothing but excuse after excuse after charging almost $4,000.00. Up to today, I still do not have the forms I paid for. They sent ...a terrible version filled with multiple grammatical errors which looked thrown together, back in Sept and I contacted to inform them that they needed to be corrected. I still have nothing. No response, no updates. I contacted 10-12 days ago and the legal assistant responded that she would inform Amir but even until today he has not contacted nor corrected. He has been extremely rude and dismissive during his verbal contact in the past. I see that others have had success but I have been greatly failed although I have remained patient and understanding throughout this process. This firm has cost me thousands in loss potential revenue and honestly it’s been an abhorrent experience. If he can not gain lots of money or notoriety from your case, he will not care at all. Please look else where. If I could give it zero stars, I would.
