James Robert Hammerschmidt

Represent clients in federal and state court and before agencies like the EEOC, DOL, and local and state human rights commissions and labor departments, involving claims arising under Title VII, ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, Wage Payment/Collection and Wage/Hour Law law. Counsel clients on employment issues such as breach of contract; wrongful termination; and trade secret claims, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. Advise clients with difficult employee discipline issues.

James R. Hammerschmidt is a principal of the firm and a member of its Litigation, Appellate and Employment practice groups whose practice includes a wide range of commercial, corporate and employment counseling and litigation. His general civil litigation and appellate practice experience includes matters involving real estate, land development, breach of contract, trusts and estates, construction, shareholder disputes, business disputes, consumer protection law, conspiracy and defamation.

Perform appellate work in all areas of general litigation and employment and labor law.
